Tim Watkins has spent over 7 years as part of Jamie Hewlett's small team at Zombie Flesh Eaters responsible for the visual appearance of the multi-platinum multi-award winning 'virtual pop band' Gorillaz. This ground breaking project picked up a Jim Henson Creativity Honor 2005, The Designer of the Year 2006, a Grammy, Webbys and numerous other accolades. Tim was heavily involved with producing Gorillaz press shots & editorial commissions and was personally responsible for the huge 'Kong Studios' website & games and a wide variety of graphic design and animation.
He has also produced animation for Monkey Journey to the West, The Bees, Virgin Records and animated John Lennon's line drawings for the Lennon Legend DVD.
Tim's recent sucesses within the music and fashion industries include; producing bespoke wallpaper designs for Virgin Records head office & for a fleet of Agent Provocateur taxis, being Kate Moss's illustrator of choice for her last 3 Top Shop collections, a special edition cover for Elle Magazine on behalf of Luella and illustrative work for her spring/summer 2008 collection, Frost French commissioned murals for both their London shops as well as lookbook illustrations and The Bees album & single artwork for 'Free The Bees' & 'Octopus' with accompanying websites, merchandise, live show projections and animation for their 'Wash In The Rain' video. He was also invited to customise an Xbox 360 for it's European launch and Vans footwear for their London shop opening. Tim has recently launched a Wallposter project in collaboration with Beyond The Valley as part of The London Design Festival 2008.
He has exhibited work in London, Birmingham and in Berlin as part of the Beat13 collective.
